A two-bedroom apartment in the Purvciems neighbourhood. It was necessary to renovate several rooms there.

Initially, the customers did not wish to have the layout of the apartment redesigned. The corridor, the small kitchen, and the elongated living room had to remain separated from each other. However, it became possible to convince the customers to combine different areas in the course of carrying out the work.

The main wishes were as follows:

• to create a modern interior with a touch of classics;
• to leave the favourite painting, which featured a dog, hanging on the wall. So we chose an accent colour, which was blue (this was one of the cases when the design was created based on the characteristics of a painting);
• to create a kitchen (and also a bathroom) design using cool shades and to create a harmonious match between them and other areas where warmer colours were used;
• to build a brick wall in the corridor. We added an accent to it by means of using a backlit frame.
